The British Society for Paediatric Dermatology (BSPD), founded in 1985, aims to promote the provision of best quality care for children with skin problems and to support their families to access this. The BSPD is a registered charity (1011605).
Specifically the aims of the organisation are:
- To stimulate and promote appropriate medical and scientific research and to publish the results of such research
- To contribute to the education of trainees in dermatology and of scientific workers in the field of dermatology
- To arrange and provide for the holding of scientific meetings and symposia
- To raise funds to support these activities
